RWD Subies

More and more Subarus are being converted to RWD by means of eather welding the center diff or buying a rwd spool like the ones from Rocket Rally and taking the front axles out. I own a RWD turbo legacy myself and let me tell you, as much fun as awd and the grip from awd is, my car is so much more fun in rwd.

Team Orange has had a few Imprezas over the years both GC and GD

This is my legacy. With a welded center and rear diff becomes a ton of fun. Plans for the sping are an STi rear diff and axles, fender flairs and a bigger turbo.

still using the r160 with a custom mount so that the diff sits a little bit higher in the crossmember to keep the axles straighter

But its 2″ lower in the front and about an inch lower in the back after i got ahold of some teins, its got a 02 sti tmic, tdo4, whiteline 22mm in the front and whiteline 27mm gc8 rear swaybar, its around 170 kw at the rears, got it tuned by s an j with an apexi power fc, did the inlet and 3″ exhaust all the way through, and lots of other little stuff, and i have a front mount kit in the shed and some replica white te37s waiting for new tyres,

I’ve got the r160 and i’ve been through alot of cv’s and axles…. had a welded centre in but axles only lasted about a day lol…. its getting a r180 transplant soon
